What we collect
When you submit a URL for scanning, we store the URL, the scan result, risk score, and timestamp. We also store an anonymous session token generated in your browser to keep your scan history. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information unless you contact us directly.
How we use your data
Submitted URLs are used solely to perform the security scan and return a result to you. Scan results are stored to power the scan history feature and global statistics. We may use aggregated, anonymized scan data to improve our detection accuracy.
Third party providers
To perform scans, submitted URLs are sent to the following third party threat intelligence providers: VirusTotal, Google Safe Browsing, PhishTank, ThreatFox, URLhaus, AbuseIPDB, and DNS blocklists (SURBL, Spamhaus). Each provider has their own privacy policy. By using HAsH Guardian you agree to URLs being submitted to these services.
What not to submit
Do not submit URLs that contain personal access tokens, password reset links, private internal systems, or any link containing sensitive personal information. Treat every URL you submit as potentially visible to third party security providers.
Data retention
Scan results are stored in our database for service functionality. You can clear your personal scan history at any time from the scanner interface. We do not sell your data to any third party.
Cookies
We use a single anonymous session token stored in your browser's localStorage to identify your session. No tracking cookies are used. No advertising cookies are used.
