Who built this
HAsH Guardian was built by Abdushshakur Sulaiman Abubakar, a cybersecurity researcher and software developer from Potiskum, Yobe State, Nigeria. He is currently studying Information Technology at Bayero University Kano (BUK) and building Aeglix — a cybersecurity technology company focused on Africa and Gulf markets.
What is Aeglix
Aeglix is the technology company behind HAsH Guardian. Our mission is to build real security tools that solve real problems — starting with the most vulnerable communities online. HAsH Guardian is our first public product under the Aeglix brand.
Why we built this
People around us — friends, family, crypto community members — kept clicking suspicious links and losing money to scammers. There was no simple, free, powerful tool they could use to check a link before clicking. So we built one. HAsH Guardian runs every URL through 7 threat intelligence providers simultaneously, combined with a custom AI model trained on over 500,000 real phishing and safe URLs.
How it works
When you submit a URL, HAsH Guardian checks it against VirusTotal, Google Safe Browsing, PhishTank, ThreatFox, URLhaus, AbuseIPDB, and DNS blocklists — all at the same time. It also runs the URL through our custom ML model trained on 500,000+ real phishing and safe URLs. The combined result produces a risk score from 0 to 1, with a clear verdict and explanation.
What it is not
HAsH Guardian is not a guarantee. A low risk score means no known threat indicators were detected at the time of the scan — it does not mean the URL is permanently safe. New threats emerge daily. Always use your judgment alongside the scan result, especially before entering personal or financial information on any website.
